Finca Amigos is a farm located in the stunningly beautiful area of Jardin in the department of Antioquia in the north west of Colombia.
Jardín is one of the most beautiful towns in Colombia, located in the middle of the green mountains of the northwest of the country, with an average temperature of 19°. This beautiful town is home to around 400 species of birds, of which 112 can be seen from Finca Amigos, a farm with 12 hectares planted in different varieties of specialty coffees with excellent quality.
In Finca Amigos, different processes are carried out for each coffee variety, seeking the best cup characteristics with profiles above 85 points, using alternatives like foliar fertilization.
THE SUDAN RUME IS AN ANCIENT LANDRACE VARIETY THAT WAS FIRST CULTIVATED IN SOUTH SUDAN’S BOMA PLATEAU. THE SUDAN RUME IS A RELATIVELY RARE VARIETAL DUE TO BEING LOW YIELDING, HOWEVER WHEN GROWN COMMERCIALLY IT IS KNOWN FOR ITS COVETED CUP QUALITY.
This lot produce a very complex cup profile, sometimes we tasted interesting fruit tea spices, sometimes a sticky date, and someday we tasted stewed fruit, and floral notes!
